Namnaa Academy

Design, build, and marketing for Namnaa Academy, the working horseback archery club outside Ulaanbaatar where I trained. Solo, August to September 2026. English and Mongolian, with hreflang on every page; the academy supplied the Mongolian copy.

No framework. No package manager, no lockfile, no dependencies. Hand-written HTML, two stylesheets — a design-system token sheet and a page layer above it — and vanilla JavaScript in three partials. The index opens in a browser with no build step.

build.sh is bash with a few inline python3 blocks, standard library only. It assembles dist/ from an allowlist so nothing private ships, content-hashes CSS and media past Cloudflare’s cache, generates the RSS feed, and fails the build if the shared chrome has drifted out of sync. JSON-LD is hand-written per page. Images are WebP, encoded locally and committed as assets — the deploy environment can’t be assumed to have an image library. Netlify builds it, Netlify Forms takes the enquiries, Cloudflare sits in front.

Google Fonts, Umami for cookieless analytics, and the Google Maps embed — which is a click-to-load facade. Nothing sets a cookie until a visitor asks it to.

Helped set the marketing strategy. I still run the Google Business Profile, and set up the TripAdvisor and GetYourGuide listings.
